Administrator – Supportive Living
Under the supervision of the Chief, the Administrator is responsible for the overall operations of the facility. This includes the management of staff and provision of quality resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The Administrator must meet the requirements as established in the Illinois Department of Public Aid’s Supportive Living Facility (SLF) regulations. The Administrator will maintain budget and census goals as well as maintain appropriate staffing lead overall customer service. Responsibilities also include directing the day to day operation of the community, demonstrating compliance with current federal, state and local guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care will be provide to our residents at all times. The Administrator must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. He/she must be able to effectively communicate with a diverse range of audiences and settings; be persuasive, and negotiate conflicts and problems; evaluate fiscal and financial reports, forms, and data. The Administrator must have a thorough knowledge of state, federal and local regulations that pertain to long-term care; should have experience in the principles and practices of business administration including personnel practices and employment laws, program budgeting, general accounting and fiscal management practices. Must have at least five (5) years experience in providing health care services to adults with disabilities or the elderly population either in an assisted living program, inpatient hospital, long-term care setting, adult day care or in an approved health care field. Must also possess at least two (2) years of management experience. Illinois Licensed Registered Nurse with 5-10 years experience providing senior services preferred.
