Real Estate Development
Over the past 25 years, Bethel's Real Estate Development (RED) Department has developed almost 1,000 units of housing, ranging from single-family homes to a 5-acre campus that includes a 125-unit apartment building for seniors. Bethel has pioneered transit-oriented, environmentally friendly building that focuses on neighborhood revitalization.
Bethel brought a series of two-flats, condominiums and single-family home construction projects to West Garfield Park and Austin, in addition to creating new community service locations such as rental units.
Bethel is also a leader in commercial development on the West Side. With the opening of the Bethel Center located at Lake St. and Pulaski. Bethel continues to identify and work to realize commercial development projects that will bring the neighborhood vital goods, services and jobs. All new developments will be at least Energy Star rated and make minimum use of existing public transportation.
